Alright, F Heads it's your favorite time of the week – except we can't say that word here, so let's just say it's AEW Dynamite Recap time! We're hot off All Out, and with Grand Slam and WrestleDream looming, things are getting real in the world of pro wrestling that definitely isn't fake.
This week's Dynamite was all about building towards those big events, but did it quite hit the mark? Let's break it down, folks, without any of that fancy wrestling jargon.

Chris Jericho vs. Orange Cassidy: A Reheated Meal (C+)
Cassidy kicked things off with his usual chill vibes, but things got heated (not literally, folks, no pyro in this match) with a six-man brawl involving Jericho's buddies. The match itself was decent, with some good back-and-forth action. But let's be honest, Jericho and OC have done this dance before, and this time around it felt a bit clunky. Jericho even came close to messing up a move! Still, Cassidy pulled off the upset with his signature roll of quarters.

Hook's Squash and the Aminata & Sakazaki Show (C+)
Hook squashed some poor dude named JD Ink. Moving on. Next up, the women's tag match. Aminata and the Sakazaki took on Deeb and May. It was a decent match, but the ending fizzled with a DQ caused by May using the belt like a bad neighbor.

Ricochet vs. The Beast Mortos: Aerial Insanity (B+)
Alright, folks, this one woke the crowd up! Ricochet and Mortos, two high-flyers with totally different styles, put on an awesome display of flips and dives. It was the kind of match that makes you wonder how they don't land on their necks every time. Ricochet eventually pulled off the win, but both guys deserve a pat on the back.

The Elite vs. Ospreay, Takeshita & Fletcher: Trios Trouble (B+)
The main event was a trios match featuring The Elite taking on Ospreay, Takeshita, and Fletcher. It was a fast-paced battle with some great teamwork on both sides. Ospreay and Takeshita stood out, especially the big fella who wasn't happy with not getting tagged in enough. The match went into overtime, which gave everyone a chance to shine. Ultimately, Fletcher pinned Nick Jackson for the win.
The Final Word: A Bit of a Mixed Bag
On paper, this Dynamite looked good. But in reality, it was a bit of a rollercoaster. Some weird booking choices and technical difficulties didn't help. The highlight of the night was definitely the Ricochet vs. Mortos match. Jericho and Cassidy's rematch wasn't as good as their first encounter, and the other matches were just okay. The main event came close to matching the high-flying action of Ricochet and Mortos, but it wasn't quite there.
Overall, this Dynamite wasn't a total dud, but it wasn't one of their best either. We'll give it a C+.
