Professional wrestler Jeff Hardy has been in legal trouble before for driving under the influence, and this time was no different. Despite facing potentially years in prison for his repeat offense of driving under the influence, the Judge has ruled that Jeff Hardy is convicted for 38 days in jail, but was credited as time served, so he has been released.
Jeff Hardy is a free man, but with his third DUI conviction. In addition to serving 38 days in jail for his DUI conviction, Jeff Hardy has also been put on probation for a period of 24 months. He has been fined $4,000 and ordered to pay court costs totaling $586.
Perhaps the most severe punishment handed down to Jeff is the suspension of his driver's license for a period of 10 years. This means that Jeff will not be able to operate a vehicle legally for the next decade. But that's not all. Jeff will also be required to have a "vehicle interlock device" installed in any vehicle he operates for the next two years. This device measures a driver's blood alcohol content and prevents the vehicle from starting if the driver is over the legal limit. Additionally, Jeff's vehicle will be impounded for a period of 90 days. This means that he will not have access to his car for the next three months.
While Jeff is a free man now, this isn't the first time he's been convicted of DUI. But despite his legal troubles, one thing is clear: Jeff Hardy has one heck of a lawyer.
The question on everyone's mind is whether or not this punishment is fair. Some may argue that Jeff should have received a harsher sentence given his previous convictions. However, it's worth noting that Jeff has taken responsibility for his actions and has accepted his punishment.
Now that Jeff is out of jail, many wrestling fans are wondering if he'll return to AEW. While his legal troubles may have put his career on hold for the time being, it's possible that he could make a comeback.
Regardless of what the future holds for Jeff Hardy, one thing is clear: he's lucky to have a lawyer who knows how to get results.
