WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg recently shared his thoughts on Samoa Joe's tenure in the WWE on his Oh.... You Didn't Know Podcast. According to Road Dogg, the company could have done much more with Samoa Joe and missed out on significant financial gains as a result.
"I think Samoa Joe is money any way you look at it," said Road Dogg. "He’s a great promo, I believe every word he says, he’s well-spoken, he’s a big tank of a man, he can fly around like a bumblebee. He shouldn’t be able to but he can, and so it’s just incredible how much money is left on the table with Samoa Joe."
Road Dogg went on to express regret that the WWE did not maximize Samoa Joe's potential during his time with the company. "I don’t know how he’s doing now or whatever, but I just think from our company and me working with him, man, there was a lot left on the table with Samoa Joe," he said.

It's clear that Road Dogg believes that Samoa Joe has what it takes to be a top draw in the WWE, and it's a sentiment that many fans share. While Samoa Joe's time in the WWE may be over, his impact on the industry is undeniable, and his talent is sure to be appreciated wherever he goes next.
Samoa Joe's career in professional wrestling has been nothing short of impressive. Prior to joining the WWE, he made a name for himself in numerous promotions such as Ring of Honor and Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling, where he held the world championship title for an unprecedented five times.
Joe's debut in the WWE was highly anticipated, and fans were eager to see him showcase his talent on the biggest stage in professional wrestling. He made his first appearance in NXT in 2015 and quickly established himself as a dominant force in the brand. He went on to become the first two-time NXT Champion, solidifying his status as one of the top talents in the promotion.

Despite his success in NXT, Joe's main roster run in the WWE was somewhat underwhelming. He made his debut on Raw in 2017 and went on to have feuds with top stars such as Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, and AJ Styles. However, injuries and inconsistent booking prevented him from reaching his full potential.
Despite this, fans and fellow wrestlers alike continue to sing Samoa Joe's praises. He is widely regarded as one of the most versatile performers in the industry, with a rare combination of size, agility, and mic skills. His in-ring work has been praised by legends such as Stone Cold Steve Austin and William Regal, and his promos are consistently among the best in the business.
In recent years, Samoa Joe has continued to make waves in the industry outside of the WWE. He has made appearances in promotions such as Impact Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he has once again proven himself to be one of the top stars in the business.
Despite his departure from the WWE in 2021, Samoa Joe's legacy in the industry is secure. He is widely regarded as one of the most talented and respected performers of his generation, and his contributions to professional wrestling will not be forgotten anytime soon.
