However, there's one aspect of Roman's championship reign that leaves a sour taste in some fans mouth. And no, it's not because I'm a fan of Steroid Steve's anti-Roman sentiments..

Yes, we all know that professional wrestling is scripted, and the number of title defenses doesn't technically matter in the grand scheme of things. But, I must admit, it becomes increasingly difficult to be fully impressed by the reign of a champion when their title is absent from the storyline for such a prolonged period.

Fortunately, the solution isn't that hard to find. Just take a page from the book of Gunther. Have Roman face a random opponent on SmackDown every now and then and come out victorious. Now, we're not expecting individuals like Santos Escobar, Angelo Dawkins, Ridge Holland, or even Dolph Ziggler to dethrone the Tribal Chief, but these matches would send a strong message that defending the title still matters. It would also bolster Roman's list of defeated opponents and give the decision-makers a preview of how these individuals perform in high-pressure situations.

I can't help but ponder this question as I eagerly anticipate the next chapter of the Bloodline saga.
